Level 1

Foundations of Addiction Studies Certification (FASC)

  • Provides an overview of addiction.

      • (12) 30-minute videos (6 Hours)

      • 4 Content Quizzes

      • Resources available: E-Textbooks and Articles (no cost)


Level 2

Addiction Ministries Credential (AMC)

  • MSO’s 5 Recovery Studies Online Classes


Level 3

Advanced Addiction Ministries Credential (AAMC)

  • MSO’s 5 Additional Bible & Theology courses


The Certification/Credential Model

Upon completing Level 1, participants will receive the FASC Certification with the NPCA.

Upon completion of Levels 2 & 3, participants will meet the educational requirements for credentialing (AMC or AAMC) and are encouraged to apply for credentialing with NPCA.

Fidelity to the model is critical as it ensures the education provided aligns with recognized standards of professional practice, enhancing both the value of the RSO program and the credibility of the participants' credentials.

 

NPCA Certification/Credential Fees

Renewal and Continuing Education

FASC Renewal Requirements: Every 2 years:

  • 5 clock hours of continuing education

  • 3 hours must be ethics-related

AMC & AAMC Renewal Requirements: Every 2 years:

  • 20 clock hours of continuing education.

  • Within those hours, six must be ethics-related

  • Renewal hours can be earned through MSO or other approved sources for flexibility.

Initial Credentialing Fees:

  • Foundations Class (FASC): $100 MSO Course Fee, $75 NPCA Certification Fee.

  • AMC or AAMC: $200 NPCA Credential Fee.

  • If upgrading from AMC to AAMC: $125 NPCA Credential Fee.

Renewal Fees: (Paid to the NPCA (National Professional Credentialing Association)

  • $50 for FASC

  • $150 for AMC or AAMC
